ACCEPTANCE IN RELATIONSHIPS

HERE ARE THE WORDS

This contemplation is about acceptance.

When we buy something,

we have expectations of its quality and value...

...and when disappointed, we often complain.

But if we do this with other people

there is a very good chance we harm any relationship we have with them.

For the most part, we do not even know why we have ideas about how others should be.

It's just how we think.

For this reason, our interactions are profoundly influenced in ways we are completely unaware of.

Without realising it, our beliefs and opinions can make others who we interact with feel judged,

undervalued and unappreciated or even disrespected.

Even when we try to hide our feelings, the other person usually senses it.

Little by little, we create bad energy in a relationship through our reaction to OUR unmet expectations.

So how can we avoid this happening?

One word.

Acceptance.

Not accepting bad behaviour, simply accepting the reality that we all behave according to our state of consciousness in the moment.

How could it be otherwise?

The key is true inner acceptance of the moment, a situation and other people as they are...

...not as we might believe, they should be.

Until we do this, we cannot help having a mental resistance to what is already here happening right now.

And this creates dissatisfaction in us which others sense.

When we realise this - when we see it and begin to accept rather than expect...

...we take a huge leap toward a new state of ease and openness in all situations.

Expectations fall away.

We see things as they are.

We are all evolving little by little...

But in this new state of consciousness, we know right now, however anyone behaves...

This is just how it is.

The consequence of this change in our inner state changes our reactions.

We become less driven to impose our opinions, preferences and beliefs.

And we cannot help becoming more compassionate towards others.

The overall result is more inner peace, increased harmony, and ultimately, more happiness in our relationships.

Everything becomes so much easier when we

ACCEPT RATHER THAN EXPECT
