As the fog thins and our awareness expands, the more we want to know what lies beyond it.

We may use practices like meditation, yoga, prayer or contemplation to explore more deeply - and as the fog continues to dissipate we find more 'space' in our inner self. 

We discover a stillness, a place of 'empty' awareness, from where we can watch thoughts, feelings and impulses, rather than be taken over by them.

Some people develop 'mystical' perception and experience realities that defy description. 

These, and many other types of phenomena may come into our awareness as Awakening progresses - as the fog thins out.
