HERE ARE THE WORDS

This contemplation is on the eternal question....

Is there a God?

The first words in the Bible are...

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth."

And don't we all have to agree,

without some kind of beginning, we wouldn't be here.

And how can there be a beginning, without

something to make that beginning happen?

Of course, this is an unanswerable question.

We can't know where we came from, or how everything started.

All we can do is explore what we sense might be the real truth.

Perhaps there has to be something...

...something beyond our knowing and beyond our ability to know.

More like a potential...

Infinitely, always there...

And then somehow, for some reason, that potential began to become actual.

Some impulse to know itself...

...to be born.

The first aspect of all to arise must have been conscious awareness.

And with it, awareness of the potential to create.

All these words: consciousness, awareness, creation...

...just words attempting to describe ideas and experiences from our limited human perspective.

We've invented many words too for what we imagine this original creative impulse to be...

GOD

ABSOLUTE

SOURCE

BRAHMIN

...whatever it is...

...all that exists must emanate from it.

How could they not?

ALL MUST BE ASPECTS OF IT
